Meet Richard
I am a licensed Real Estate Broker with Keller Williams Team Realty in Palatine and a big fan of Chicago sports. As a kid growing up I watched my dad handle his rental properties, then I got my feet wet in my mid-twenties with fixer uppers. Again, I watched my dad help me with the first one, a HUD townhome in Streamwood, IL. As it turned out, he planted the real estate seed inside of me that ultimately led me to where I am today.
As an investor and a landlord I approached every acquisition as a personal challenge to create a rental property that was superior to my competitors. Whether I was transforming a vacant building into a multi-unit apartment community or marketing a single family home as a viable investment opportunity, I always kept my personal philosophy at the heart of every transaction. When you approach everything from the perspective of "Is this how you would want to be treated?" then you are more apt to proceed with extreme care and awareness.
As a property manager of my own investment properties I refused to rent out an apartment that I, myself wouldn't live in. Many times I personally handled the apartment turnover from painting to tile installation to ensure that my team understood the level of detail and thoroughness that I required. I believe in leading by example and an effective leader is as comfortable rolling up his or her sleeves and getting hands-on as they are giving orders. I take that same approach when it comes to managing properties for owners.
I formed the Eden Dwell Group after a very stressful experience of trying to find a property management company that I could trust to manage a mixed-use property that I owned. I began to wonder how many other people have endured the same experience and entertained the idea of building my own property management team. My wife gave me the final encouragement that I needed as she constantly reminded me that the world needs more honest people, people that say what they mean and do what they say. I hope that you find the property manager that you are looking for here at the Eden Dwell Group. I look forward to personally meeting you and I promise not to wear a jersey to our initial meeting unless it takes place at the stadium.
Be Blessed,
Richard
